While I’m purely working on software development now, my background is a bit “different,” having graduated from university as a Biotechnologist and soon after realizing that my favorite part was Bioinformatics. What drew me to it the most was knowing that doing research is awesome, but that it’s also very vocational and sometimes slow-paced, and I preferred the computation approach since the feedback loop is much quicker. Congrats to Amy Farrow, CIO Lyft, on her Bay Area Orbie 2022 Award for Large Enterprise.
Part of the reason why I wanted Onna to create a community was for us to unite as a community to support each other and to celebrate our successes. Huge congratulations to @afarrow of Lyft for receiving the Bay Area ORBIE 2022 Award for Large Enterprise. The ORBIE Award honors CIOs who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership. This award has special meaning because finalists and winners are selected by an independent peer review process, "led by prior ORBIE recipients, based upon leadership and management effectiveness, business value created by technology innovation and engagement in industry and community endeavors." We love seeing our Onna customers getting the attention they deserve! Given I don’t have exposure to all the cool things everyone is doing, please turn yourself, your peers, and your teams in, so we can celebrate together! Again, congratulations to @afarrow for this well-deserved award!Sincerely,Michelle
