In this installment of Ask an Onner, we’re spotlighting the talented Eduardo Santamaria (@Edu), who is a Lead Software Engineer on the Connectors team. Tell us a bit about you and your role.Eduardo: I’m Eduardo Santamaria and I’m a Lead Software Engineer on the Connectors team at Onna. While I’m purely working on software development now, my background is a bit “different,” having graduated from university as a Biotechnologist and soon after realizing that my favorite part was Bioinformatics. What drew me to it the most was knowing that doing research is awesome, but that it’s also very vocational and sometimes slow-paced, and I preferred the computation approach since the feedback loop is much quicker. As a Lead Software Engineer on the Connectors team, I’m mostly responsible for getting content out of third-party services and into the Onna platform, plus the associated functionalities that come with it (authentication to those services, data collection configuration, and scheduling

In our May 2023 release notes, we are thrilled to highlight these product improvements:Gmail Performance Enhancements - we have significantly improved the collection speed for data coming from Gmail. In a test environment, we saw processing time for a large sample data set of Gmail data go from 20+ hours to under 5 hours. 🎉 Enhanced Export Management - users can now change the name of exports on the ‘Export’ main page and the export detail page. Does the O365 connection support the discovery and transfer of Teams data?We have Microsoft Teams available as a separate integration for Onna to support Teams data. Please visit our Help Center to learn how to collect from Microsoft Teams Enterprise.Does having the data encrypted with Azure Information Protection affect how emails are collected and processed into Onna?Yes, at this time, Onna cannot decrypt and process the contents of emails with Azure Information Protection.
Why am I unable to delete a workspace or a source?
If you cannot delete a workspace or a source, please verify your permissions. Workspace "Manage" permissions are required to delete a workspace. In addition, the workspace and any data sources within the workspace can't be associated with any active legal holds, or Onna will prevent you from deleting the workspace. You can remove a source from a legal hold by editing the preservation. Once the source is removed from the preservation(s), it should be allowed for deletion.

What are the rate limits for Onna’s OneDrive connector?Our connector doesn’t have specific rate limits. However, you may run into rate limits from the Microsoft Graph API.What permissions are required to collect from OneDrive?To connect to your Microsoft OneDrive for Business instance, assigning the Privileged Role Administrator to perform the collection will provide all the permissions needed. Is a particular Zendesk subscription level required to connect to Onna?No particular subscription level is required. However, lower-tier subscriptions have a lower API rate limit so it could affect the collection speed.In what order does Zendesk sync my files into Onna?Onna will sync your Zendesk files based on their update date (the date the ticket was last updated) and in ascending order.
Can Onna track edits and deletions for Zoom chats?Yes, Onna can track edits and deletions for Zoom chats. Since conversations are grouped by day, edits and deletions appear on the day the edit and deletion occurred.Keep in mind that Zoom’s API doesn’t allow querying deleted messages, so there’s no way for Onna to mark such changes on the originals. For example, suppose a message is collected on January 1st, but the message is deleted on January 2nd. In that case, the message will show as deleted in the thread for January 2nd, but the message won't show as deleted in the thread for January 1st. We're currently working on a way to mark original messages as edited in such cases. What are the rate limits for the Zoom connector?All rate limits imposed by this connector come from Zoom.
